Event FAQS / Find your answers

What is the date and time of the event?

BC Uncorked is anticipated to be held again in the Spring of 2019 on a Saturday evening from 7pm to 9:30pm.

Where is the event held?

BC Uncorked is likely moving venue locations.  Details will be announced as soon as they become available.

What does my ticket price include?

The BC Uncorked Wine & Food Festival is a non-token event.  Your entry fee includes wine samples and food samples from all of the participating vendors. Remember that with over 175 wines available, it’s not possible to taste everything in the room. Enjoy your sample, then use the available spit buckets and water jugs to rinse your glass.

In 2019 BC Uncorked will continue to partner with Marquis Wine Cellars who will host an online wine store. Guests are able to enjoy the event making notes of their favourite wines, then they can stop by the wine store booth to process an order.  It’s as simple as that!

* NOTE: Should any guests arrive at the festival intoxicated they will not be permitted entry and their ticket will be forfeited.

How can I buy tickets?

Once ticket sales open in late 2018 guests can purchase online. If you are unable to purchase online, or if you require assistance, we will also have telephone sales available.  Call 604-463-1998 to reach our customer service team.

How does the e-ticket system work?

The team at BC Uncorked is working hard to make the check-in process at the event quick and easy.  Follow the prompts to purchase your tickets online, then make sure to bring your ticket with you to the event either as a hard copy or on your mobile device. The barcodes will be scanned on entry to the event.

NOTE: Should any guests arrive at the festival intoxicated they will not be permitted entry and their ticket will be forfeited.

Is there a safe ride home program?

Greater Vancouver Designated Drivers (GVDD) can get you and your car home safely.  Visit their website at or call 604-917-0177.

The BC Liquor Store’s “Get Home Safe” program may sponsor the festival again and provide complimentary Compass transit tickets.  Passes will be available on a first-come basis.  Visit the hostess desk on-site at the event for details.

Is there a discount for designated drivers?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer discounted designated driver tickets as our event doesn’t operate on a token system. There will be non-alcoholic beverages available, and guests can enjoy food samples from all of the participating restaurants and catering companies.

Can I cancel my ticket for a refund?

The BC Uncorked Food & Wine Festival is a charity fundraiser so refunds are not available, however your ticket(s) are transferable.  Contact our customer service team to update the e-ticket with the new guest name by email or call 604-463-1998.  Any ticket name changes must be made at least one week prior to the event.

What is the age of the guests that attend the tasting?

The event welcomes guests over the age of 19. No minors are permitted at the event (please note this includes babies and infants).  Two (2) pieces of government issued ID will be requested of guests who appear to be under the age of 30.

Primary ID examples include; drivers license, passport, Canadian Citizenship card, and First Nations Status Card.

Secondary ID examples include; credit cards, University/College student cards, or any other card with an imprint of your name and a signature.

Is there a dress code?

Casual or business-casual attire is suggested for this event. It’s important to wear comfortable footwear as you will be walking throughout the tasting rooms during the evening.
